The San Diego Convention Center (SDCC) is the site of the DesalTech 2015 Conference.

The DesalTech Conference will be held at the award-winning San Diego Convention Center (SDCC), located in the Marina district of downtown San Diego near the Gaslamp Quarter. Known for incredible panoramic views of the San Diego Bay and its five-star service, the SDCC is within easy walking distance to an array of restaurants, retail stores and world-class entertainment.

Getting to San Diego


Travelers getting to San Diego by air will fly into San Diego International Airport (SAN) located 3.4 miles away (14 minute driving time) from the Convention Center.

Ground Transportation

Check with your hotel of choice about shuttle service. Depending on which hotel option you choose, they may or may not provide shuttle service from the airport. Rental Cars are available at San Diego Intl Airport with most major national rental car companies.

Taxis are also available at the airport to take you to your hotel and the Convention Center.

What To Do in San Diego

The San Diego area offers numerous activities for your enjoyment while attending the DesalTech Conference. Below are some of the activities which may be enjoyed during your visit.

SeaWorld® San Diego

SeaWorld® is the world's premier marine-life park, located on 173 acres of beautiful Mission Bay. The park is home to the world-famous Shamu along with many different exhibits, rides and attractions. For those who want a more in-depth tour, there are private tours, feeding hours and much more to keep the whole family or group entertained for hours.

The San Diego Padres are an American professional baseball franchise based in San Diego, California. PetCo Park is adjacent to the SDCC, so grab a hat and a hot dog and enjoy the mild San Diego climate watching America's favorite past time.

Gaslamp Quarter

Stroll the historic Gaslamp Quarter which is just outside the hotel doors to view renovated, turn-of-the-century Victorian architecture, shopping, art boutiques, and restaurants to fit any appetite.

USS Midway Museum

Step aboard the USS Midway and explore a floating city! The ship served as America's longest serving naval ship in the 20th century and is filled with over 50 years' worth of memorabilia.

San Diego Zoo

The San Diego zoo is home to over 3,700 animals, including the famous giant panda. The park pioneered the open-air, cage less concept which mimics the animals' natural habitat. In 2013, the zoo added a koala adventure exhibit which showcases an Australian habitat.

San Diego Wild Animal Park

The San Diego Wild Animal Park houses a large array of wild and endangered animals including species from Africa, North and South America, Asia, Europe and Australia. The park is a semi-arid environment and one of its most notable features is the Africa Tram which explores the expansive African exhibits. These free-range enclosures house, giraffes, buffalo, rhinos and many more. The park is also known for their California Condor breeding program, the most successful program of its kind in the US.
